Miami’s best kept secret. Let’s talk about growth. 6-7 years ago, this district of Miami was not even really a district. There was not much going on. It was brand new with sprinkles of art galleries and restaurants. I remember walking through this side of town in 2008. Wynwood was trying so hard to make itself known by hosting tons of art events, all the time.
I remember visiting some galleries with Pedro and Cristina during late nights. Ha, I even remember Pedro littering one time at Wynwood and I picked up after him (sorry I cringe when I see people litter). There was this one event that I actually remember capturing images of. It was a crazy great event in the middle of Wynwood.
They had this incredible open bar and open eatery for people to test out some kebabs they were making. Changed my life. If I seriously remember eating a particular food on a specific day, believe me it was scrumptious and worth sharing. I often wonder what it means to really have your life changed by food. I honestly think I have experienced it before.
These kebabs were so damn good, they made me view food differently and become more appreciative for my palette. Wait, what was I originally talking about? Oh yea, Wynwood.
